Zugara: Webcam Social Shopper

Zugara launched a new application, The Webcam Social Shopper. Combining the functionality of both Augmented Reality and Motion Capture, this application allows anyone with a webcam to shop online right within their video feed.

Using this app you can “hold” clothes in front of your body to see “how they fit”. The Motion Capture function allows the app to track your body movements so you can interact with the site (e.g. cycle through a product’s various colors/styles or take a picture of yourself so you can get immediate feedback from friends on Facebook) while standing several feet away from your computer’s controls. No extra downloads, no new plug-in, no consumer headache.

    What a fantastic idea! I almost never buy clothes online, but would certainly consider it, given this option.
