Visa Canada is rewarding NHL hockey fans for supporting their favourite teams through good and bad times with its Hockey Love Hurts program. It is a video of a wider campaign.
Only sincere fans know how much hockey love hurts. The Nazareth “Love Hurts” reflects it perfectly. Video demonstrates how fans struggle after their team lost. Luckily for them Visa gives them a chance to win a trip for group of eleven friends to a Stanley Cup Final game.
When the team loses its fans get an e-mail with a special offer to win tickets to Final game. “We focused on easing the pain with our program–for those times when fans are struggling to watch late night games and continue to support their teams when they go through losing streaks,” said Gallant Law, head of sponsorship and brand management at Visa Canada.
VISA is supporting the campaign with a television commercial, online ads and blogger outreach.
