A new horror movie called “The Hunting Moon”, which had a trailer released this month and announced by the Sun newspaper as “Absolutely Terrifying!”, finally revealed its true identity: a campaign for the UK charity Malaria No More UK.
This mysterious trailer was carrying the story of a group of young British students travelling through Africa. The trip takes a shocking twist when people around them start dying from a hand of an invisible killer.
The trailer is extremely well produced and while watching it looks like a genuine horror movie. It’s only once you’ve watched it through that you’re invited to visit www.TheHuntingMoonMovie.com where the killers should be revealed. And, of course, the killers turn out to be mosquitoes.
The Sun and Sky Movies websites are promoting the upcoming “move”. The trailer was also seeded by The 7th Chamber across key online sites.
For those unaware, malaria kills 3 million people a year, a rate comparable only to AIDS, and affects more than 500 million people every year. Studies have showed that the disease kills one million children under 5 years old every year. Malaria kills one African child every 30 seconds, and many children who survive suffer severe brain damage and have learning difficulties.
