The Bison Council has released a new funny campaign, which explains why we eat turkey for Thanksgiving day.
The idea is based on an old tradition – a turkey toss. The pilgrims in 1600s used to chase turkey all around to survive the cold winters. While the Native Americans had bison. The funny commercials depict the weird rituals people had and seek to promote bison.
Josh Ozersky, founding ambassador of The Bison Council and food writer, says: “Flip turkey right off your holiday menus and replace it with bison. It’s better for you and every bit as traditional as turkey. Why eat something on Thanksgiving you only have – or want – once a year? Bison is a true crowd pleaser.”
