Sainsbury’s Ad Campaign with Jamie Oliver in support of Red Nose Day

UK retailer Sainsbury’s has launched a new TV commercial with Jamie Oliver in support of Red Nose Day.

The commercial shows Sainsbury’s customers and colleagues getting into the Comic Relief spirit by dressing in a variety of bizarre costumes and ‘Doing Something Funny for Money’.

The advert was created by AMV BBDO and directed by Sam Cadman on Sainsbury’s Sydenham store in South London.

Red Nose Day is the main way in which Comic Relief, a UK charity organization, f raises money. Red Nose Day is on Friday 18th March. It’s a day like no other when the whole country gets together to do something funny for money and change countless lives in the process. It all culminates in a night of cracking TV on the BBC with some of the biggest names in comedy and entertainment.

Sainsbury’s has supported Comic Relief since 1999 and this year they said that the more Red Noses customers buy, the sillier they will get. To encourage people to buy more Red Noses for Comic Relief 2011 Sainsbury’s colleagues are going to face up to some really silly challenges over the next few weeks.
