New commercial released by Reebok in support of “Speedwick,” the company’s performance apparel that players can wear under uniforms while training, starring 2 of the biggest players in the NHL today, Sidney Crosby and Maxime Talbot, teammates at Pittsburgh Penguins.
The commercial takes the viewer to visit the home of Sid, where he and Max will revive relaxing moments with an old washing machine in the basement of his parents’ house, which served as a target for the first tee Sid during his childhood. The dryer is currently located in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The video directed by Academy Award nominee Henry Alex (“Murder Ball”) with production from Smuggler.
The early phenomenon Sidney Crosby has been revealed in the province of Nova Scotia in Canada. At seven years old, had the pleasure of giving the first interview of his life to a local newspaper, the 13 went to court to try to play midget championships category, at 14 he entered the sport then turned to boys two years older, and thus took the nickname that still holds true today – “Sid The Kid.”
Crosby was drafted by the Penguins out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) first overall after earning back-to-back CHL Player of the Year Awards and leading his club to the 2005 Memorial Cup during his two-year major junior career with the Rimouski Océanic. Nicknamed “The Next One” he was one of the most highly regarded draft picks in hockey history, leading many to refer to the 2005 Draft Lottery as the “Sidney Crosby Sweepstakes”.
