Climate Change Conference Outdoor Ads

Climate Change Conference Outdoor Ads

The largest and most important UN climate change conference in history opened today in Copenhagen. 192 countries are participating in this event so it needed an ad campaign matching the significance of the conference.

The outdoor ads were put in Copenhagen airport to greet the arriving people and inform them about the event and why it is important. The ads show older faces of the most famous world leaders with quotes “I’m sorry. We could have stopped catastrophic climate change… We didn’t.” The goal of these ads is to prompt the conference guests to act now because, otherwise, after some years if asked about the climate change they would only be able to apologize.

The people in these ads: Angela Markel, Barack Obama, Dmitry Medvedev, Donald Tusk, Gordon Brown, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, Kevin Rudd, Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, Nicolas Sarcozy.

a lot of people are complaining about the visual quality of the Greenpeace’s ads, but the fact that they are getting so much feedback is an indication that these ads are succeeding at least on some level
