DDB Paris created a very nice app to promote the launch of Bouygues Telecom’s Facebook platform.
French mobile phone and Internet service provider company Bouygues Télécom wanted something that would go beyond using your profile picture in a funny way, or pranking your friends with a small joke. So DDB Paris created an app to help Facebook users remember their most precious moments on the site. The app let users to take their Facebook memories and turn them into a book. You could chose up to 10 friends to add into your book, as well as select a specific event or take your whole Facebook history. Facebook ads engaged people to participate in the creation of their books and receive a printed copy of their statuses and photos. After only two days Bouygues Telecom Facebook page received 15.000 fans and the limited The limited run of 1000 books were gone within an hour of the promotion’s launch.
